A Thanksgiving Service will be held this Friday September 15th, to signal the start of activities to mark the 50th anniversary of the St. Joseph’s Convent Marriaqua, formerly the Marriaqua Secondary School.
The School will celebrate its 50th anniversary on September 16th, 2018, and will be hosting a number of activities over the next year under the theme: 50 Years of Love and Service in Education’.
Jenifer Richardson, a member of the 50th Anniversary Committee is encouraging all past students to support the Service, which will take place at the school compound.
The homily will be delivered by Father Vibert Stephens a past student of the School, who is based in Barbados; while Bishop Gerrad Conte’ will be the Chief Celebrant.
Current students, past students, past and current staff members, parents, supporters and well-wishers among others are expected to attend.
The Service is scheduled to at ten on Friday morning at the School.
