The Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Kesron Quashie, a 22-year-old labourer of Redemption Sharpes, which occurred at Redemption Sharpes yesterday.
According to the Police, reports are that Quashie was outside his home playing dominoes when he was approached by four masked men who opened fire at him.
He sustained gunshot wounds to his lower abdomen, and was taken to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
His death has brought the total number of homicides for the year to twenty-one.
Meanwhile, Pedro Ashton, a 33-year-old labourer of Biabou, was arrested yesterday and charged with the attempted murder of Monique Clarke, a 45-year-old Domestic of Biabou, which occurred on Sunday
Ashton appeared at the Kingstown Magistrates Court today and was remanded in custody.
