Thirty-seven Medical students, including one Vincentian, will receive their White Coats when the All Saints University, College of Medicine, hosts the 15th White Coat Ceremony tomorrow, Saturday, August 12, at the Arnos Vale Campus, beginning at 4.00 pm.
The donning of the White Coat by Medical students represents the transition of 4th-semester students from the Basic Sciences to the Clinical phase of the MD (Doctor of Medicine) programme.
The ceremony will hear addresses from Dr. Wisam Al Hadif, Dean of Basic Sciences, Minister of Tourism, Sports and Culture and Parliamentary Representative for West St George, Cecil Mc Kie; Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Senator Deborah Charles; Dr. Joshua Owo-labi, who will speak on behalf of the Faculty, as well as a presentation from the Valedictorian.
The three top students will receive Scholarship Awards, and there will also be the naming of students to the Dean’s List.
The All Saints University, College of Medicine, commenced operations in September 2011 in Belair, with an additional Campus added at Arnos Vale last year.
