* Conquering Lions advanced to the Final of the Hairoun Belfongo Knockout Football Championship yesterday at the Belair Playing Field following their 4-3 victory on penalties over Older Boys in the Second semi-final. The scores were level at 1-1 at the end of regulation time.
Nyron Cumberbatch netted for Conquering Lions and Kenrick Charles scored the goal for Older Boys in regulation time.
Catalans made it through to Final after they won by the toss at half time in yesterday’s match. In their semi-final encounter with Shane Rentals Fresh, the teams played to a 2-2 draw in regulation time, and were still level at 7-7 after 8 penalty kicks.
The Final and Presentation Ceremony will be on Sunday also at the Belair Playing Field.
* Defending champions, Hairoun Groove Street Ballers are through to the semi-final of the Hairoun Biabou Football League following their 5-4 victory over Chapmans FC on penalty kicks after a 3-3 draw at the end of regulation time at the Biabou Playing Field.
During regulation time Dimitri Carrington, Kenroy Williams and Deomaji Samuel netted a goal each for Hairoun Groove Street Ballers.
The goals for Chapmans FC were scored by Terrise Joseph (2) and Brandon Johnson (1).
At 4:30 this afternoon, SV United of Georgetown will square-off with Biabou FC also at the Biabou Playing Field.
* Montrose United narrowly defeated System Three 2-1 yesterday afternoon in the Sharpes Nine-a-side Football League at the Sharpes Playing Field.
