Young people in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, who wish to purchase Alcohol, will not be allowed to do so, unless an Identification card is presented.
Word of this, came from Nichola Evan, the Director of the National Commission on Crime Prevention during a panel discussion, held last week at the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College.
During the Panel Discussion, Ms. Evans said that persons who are caught selling intoxicating liquor to students will be fined, imprisoned and even have their liquor license revoked.
Ms .Evans said the aim of the NCCP, is to target students, in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, who are consuming Alcohol and added that it is the responsibility of Businesses to request the identification of students who purchase Alcohol at supermarkets
Alcohol use among the youth in St. Vincent and the Grenadines was one of the areas highlighted during the discussions centered around the Liquor License Act of St .Vincent and the Grenadines.
