The Local Met Office said a trough is forecast to move across the Lesser Antilles by tonight and linger into Friday.
In its latest advisory, the Met Office said conditions appear conducive for an increase in moisture and instability across the island chain including Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
The forecast is for cloudy conditions, pockets of moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorms activity.
Current model projected rainfall is approximately two inches, with higher amounts in mountainous areas
Residents living in areas prone to landslides and flooding are therefore being advised to be vigilant and exercise caution.
The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Office will continue to monitor the situation and provided the necessary updates.
