Vincentians are expected to see a number of innovations to the 2016 National Christmas and Nine Mornings Festival, which officially kicks off this weekend.
The launch takes place this Sunday, December 11th, at Heritage Square in Kingstown, commencing at six in the evening.
Michael Peters, Cultural Officer in the Ministry of Culture said a number of changes were made to this year’s festival as part of efforts to encourage greater participation in the festivities.
He noted that there will be a competition for business places, for which has the best decorated show-window and this incentive is to help to make Kingstown look like the Christmas Capital.
Mr. Peters said this year will also see the resurgence of the popular road tennis competition.
