The Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines is receiving assistance from Engineers across the Region to reconstruct the Argyle Main Road, which collapsed two weeks ago during heavy rains.
Julian Francis, Minister of Transport and Works, said the road restoration is continuing and a design for a permanent solution to the highway is ongoing.
The Minister said motorists travelling to and from the Windward side of the island can now do so via a new bypass road in Argyle. This bypass road will take persons back and forth from the main turning right at the Mt. Coke Church, around the southern end of the airport runway to Peruvian Vale main.
