Noel Jackson, General Secretary of the National Workers Movement said that discussions will be held with the Management of Ottley Hall Shipyard Marina this afternoon, about the ongoing impasse between Management and employees.
The employees have been complaining about non-payment of wages for several months.
Mr. Jackson said the Company has requested for one month to scale down their operations in order to meet outstanding overheads, as well as a one-week payment for the workers. He noted that by this afternoon they should have a clear understanding of the situation.
Mr. Jackson said he is hopeful that both the Management and the Trade Union can come up with an amicable solution at this afternoon’s meeting.
