The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Fire Department is currently hosting a capacity building exercise for its members which runs until December 24th.
Christopher Sampson, Representative from IRP Fire and Safety Limited, out of Trinidad and Tobago is in the state conducting a training program with the local firefighters.
Mr. Sampson said the training program is focused on a number of key areas to ensure that local firefighters are prepared for any eventuality, especially with the coming on-stream of the Argyle International Airport.
He noted this country has invested in the latest firefighting equipment and he is here to train the firefighters to use this equipment. He said compared to what we have now it is extremely big step forward.
