The Pan American Health Organisation in Collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the National Emergency Management Organisation, (NEMO) will be hosting a town hall meeting today to discuss plans to retrofit the Chateaubelair Hospital and Clinic, through the UK Department for International Development funded project.
This project is the second phase of a project – in which St. Vincent and the Grenadines has already benefitted from -under the Pan American Health Organisation “PAHO” through the smart hospitals initiative in 2012, when the Georgetown hospital was labelled the Georgetown Smart Hosptial.
Michelle Forbes, Deputy Director of National Emergency Management Organisation, said that the organisation has been involved in the project, since its inception.
Ms. Forbes added that health facilities are critical – especially during emergencies and disasters.
