With the introduction of the Vincentian Chocolate Bar on the local market last month, the St. Vincent Cocoa Company said it has received an overwhelmingly positive responses.
Andrew Hadley, Managing Director of the Company, said the new product has generated a great deal of excitement and national pride among Vincentians.
He sees it to be promising for the future and mentioned there being a lot of inquires in the diaspora from Vincentians abroad.
Mr. Hadley said the Company will continue to focus on the local market for the time being, to ensure that they are able to meet the demand. Then an assessment would be made for what can be sold regionally so that the demand does not end up greater than the supply.
