Garth Saunders, General Manager of the Central Water and Sewerage Authority (CWSA), said although normal water supply has been restored across the country, the service is likely to be interrupted again today, as the weather conditions deteriorate.
The CWSA had interrupted the water supply island-wide from 11:30 last night, to safeguard the water systems from possible flooding and landslides, associated with the weather system in the area.
Mr. Saunders said the water supply may be interrupted again to safeguard both the quality and quantity of available water after the passage of the system.
