The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Special Olympics will participate in the seventh annual worldwide celebration in memory of Eunice Kennedy Shriver.
Eunice Kennedy Shriver was the founder of the Special Olympics movement and a leading international advocate for the rights of people with intellectual disabilities.
In proclaiming global Eunice Kennedy Shriver Day, Sezevra Joseph, CEO of Special Olympics said, “Today, they celebrate the legacy of an extraordinary leader who was a champion for people with intellectual disabilities all over the world.”
The event takes place tomorrow in the form of a Sports and Fun Day at the Calliaqua Playing Field from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
