Minister of Agriculture, Saboto Caesar said the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) is currently providing assistance for the establishment of a Land Bank Register, as the Land Bank Programme is currently developing under the twenty-point 100-day Agricultural plan, which has been very successful thus far.
Minister Caesar said a sub-regional Land Bank project is also being developed, while many people have been contacting the Ministry of Agriculture for use of lands under the Land Bank Project.
It is expected that this will lift agricultural production going forward, particularly as persons are interested in cocoa and coffee production.
