St. Vincent and the Grenadines joins the rest of the world today, in celebrating World Ozone Day.
This year, the day is being observed under the theme: Ozone and Climate: Restored by a World United and complemented with the tagline: Working towards reducing global-warming HFCs under the Montreal Protocol.
Assistant Ozone Officer within the ministry of sustainable development, Brenton Quammie, said the establishment of a fully equipped and comprehensive refrigeration and air-conditioning Laboratory, at the Technical and Vocational Education Division of St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College, Division; has helped St. Vincent and the Grenadines to make significant strides in relation to fulfilling its obligations to stop the depletion of the ozone layer.
