The Global Fund is expected to provide funding for a new project to help in the fight to eliminate HIV and Tuberculosis in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Director of the HIV/AIDS Unit, Ferosa Roache, says the project will assist in strengthening the health care system in St. Vincent and the Grenadines by assisting persons living with HIV and AIDS.
OECS Project Coordinator for the US5.2 million HIV/TB Project, Dr. James St. Catherine says the project is expected to run for three years, and will be carried out by a number of stakeholders within the Ministry of Health in member countries of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States in keeping with the objective of the Global fund to eliminate HIV by 2030 and Tuberculosis by 2050 in the OECS.
