There were victories for Bank of St. Vincent and the Grenadines All Stars, Sea Operations Nar Fren Dem, Owia Young Strikers and Caesars Defenders last weekend in the Digicel/CIBC First Caribbean Bank North Union Twenty/20 Softball Cricket Championship at the South Union Playing Field.
On Saturday in a match reduced to 15-overs because of a late start due to rain, Bank of St. Vincent and the Grenadines All Stars defeated Fancy Young Attackers by 34 runs. The scores: Bank of St. Vincent and the Grenadines All Stars 106 for 7 in 15-overs; Ozni Billingy 38, Ron Adams 29; Myles Sutherland 3 for 25. Meanwhile Fancy Young Attackers scored 72 off 15-overs; Glenroy Dasent 3 for 9, while Desron Maloney and Kelique Samuel took 2 wickets each.
Sea Operations Nar Fren Dem demolished Dipcon Engineering by 162 runs. The scores: Sea operations Nar Fren Dem 185 off 20-overs; Clinton Woods 67, Veon Charles 4 for 17, Jemel Jeffrey 2 for 29. Dipcon Engineering scored 23 off 12.4-overs; Clinton Woods 4 for 3, Keno Matthews 2 for 13.
On Sunday, Owia Young Strikers won by 101 runs from Young Warriors. The scores: Owia Young Strikers 158 off 19-overs; Zaniel Baptiste 33, Emran Lorraine 26, Desron Lavia 27, Young Warriors took 34 off 14-overs; Denson Hoyte 3 for 8 Emran Lorraine 2 for 9.
And, Caesars Defenders secured a 3-wicket win over Combine Outlaws by 3 wickets. The scores: Combine Outlaws 72 all out in 12.2 overs; Romano Pierre 32; Wesley Williams 3 for 8. Caesars Defenders managed to score 73 for 7 off 10.4-overs; Kartel Dickson 26, Kazim Haywood 25; Enrico Dalzell and Romano Pierre grabbed 3 for 13 runs each.
