Chief Education Officer Lou-Ann Gilchrist, has been named as St. Vincent and the Grenadines new ambassador to the United States.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Sir Louis Straker, made the announcement on Monday August 15th at the opening ceremony of a National Consultation with Heads of Missions and Consulates being hosted as part of activities to observe Diplomatic Week.
Sir Louis also announced other appointments; Howie Prince, the former head of the National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) will replace Selman Waters, and the Consul General in New York and Ambassador Ellsworth John will replace Dexter Rose, who served in Havana for the past 11 years as St. Vincent and the Grenadines new ambassador to Cuba.
