A regional consumer expert has commended the government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines for moving ahead with efforts to revise the country’s consumer protection legislation.
The commendation came from Competition Bureau Chief at the Jamaica Fair Trading Commission, Kevin Harriot, who is now in the state to facilitate a series of national consultations on the Consumer Protection Bill.
Speaking on NBC’s Face to Face programme this morning, Mr. Harriot said despite the government’s efforts, the onus is on consumers to make sure that their rights are respected.
