United Survivors won this year’s Hairoun Greggs Ten Women’s Softball Cricket Championship on Sunday with an eight wicket victory over Bruce Law Chambers Nar Fren Dem at the Greggs Playing Field.
Bruce Law Chambers Nar Fren Dem made 66 for 8 off their 10-overs after batting first with SIE-AR-RA Baptiste top-scoring with 22 runs and Michael Sam capturing 2 for United Survivors who host two lost two wickets in overtaking their target, scoring 67 for 2 off 6.4-overs. Cordel Jack was their top scorer with 39.
Fancy Hard Knox placed third.
Cordel Jack of United Survivors was voted Player of the Final. Jack also won the Player of the Tournament Award. She scored the most runs in the Championship, 219 and captured nine wickets.
Samantha Lynch, also of United Survivors took the most wickets in the Tournament with her tally of 13.
The Most Promising Player Award went to SIE-AR-RA Baptiste of Bruce Law Chambers Nar Fren Dem. She scored 135 runs and took five wickets.
Bruce Law Chambers Nar Fren Dem was adjudged the Most Disciplined Team, as well as the Best Dressed Team in the Tournament.
