Activist with the opposition New Democratic Party (NDP), Lavern “Gypsy” Phillips has expressed sincere thanks to Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves for providing help in her getting emergency medical attention.
On July29th, 2016 Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves chartered a flight from St. Vincent to Barbados for Miss. Phillips to have a Magnetic Resonance Imaging also known as a MRI Scan done.
Phillips who was the face of the NDP protest on the day after the December 9th, 2016 general election in St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) explains that she has a tumour on her brain that required a scan.
Miss Philips, an announcer on Nice Radio, is now back home but said a second scan is needed to determine the level of swelling of the brain, to enable her for surgery.
