
A number of children in St. Vincent and the Grenadines will learn more about issues on boat handling navigation, conflict resolution, swimming and substance abuse, during a summer program being staged by the SVG Coast Guard.
The 2016 program, which is held under the theme “Shaping Our Youths for the High Seas”, caters for children between the age group of 14 through 18.
According to the SVG Coast Guard, other topics such as sea man ship term and Etiquette Classes will also be addressed.
This year’s program commenced on July 11 and runs from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm.
A graduation ceremony is expected to take place at the SVG Coast Guard Base on August 20th.
