Sixteen students were on Tuesday August 2nd, 2016 awarded scholarships to pursue studies for the new academic year compliments the government and people of the Republic of China on Taiwan.
The students as well as a Vincentian Teacher were given the opportunity to travel to Taiwan to pursue studies, and to teach English.
The Teacher is the first teacher throughout the Caribbean to teach English in Taiwan.
Speaking at the Awards Ceremony Taiwan’s Ambassador to SVG Bau –shan Ger commended the students for capturing the scholarships.
Meanwhile Prime Minister Ralph, congratulated the students and encouraged the unsuccessful students to apply again for the scholarships.
