Health officials in St. Vincent and the Grenadines on high alert in the event of a possible outbreak of Yellow Fever.
The assurance came from Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Simone Keizer-Beache.
Dr. Keizer-Beache said every precaution will be taken to minimize transmission, particularly at the nation’s ports.
Mrs. Keizer-Beache said the high vigilant is as the result of recent reports from the World Health Organization (WHO) that the region is at risk of possible Yellow Fever infections.
Meanwhile, Minister of Health, Wellness and the Environment, Luke Browne is advising the nation that Yellow Fever vaccines are available, especially for persons who will be travelling to countries affected by the disease.
