Teacher Natonya Parris is the second Vincentian selected to participate in the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program of JET Program.
The JET Program recruits University Graduates from English Speaking Countries to work as Assistant Language Teachers for a period of one year, with the possibility of having their contracts renewed.
In making the announcement this week, Foreign Affairs Minister Sir Louis Straker said the JET program provides an excellent platform for Vincentians to gain international exposure and experience.
Ms. Parris is scheduled to leave the state on July 28, to travel to Trinidad and Tobago where she will meet other Caribbean nationals selected to participate in the JET program, before travelling on to Japan.
