The Under-16 Division of this year’s Vita Malt Bequia Basketball Championships continued on July 19th, 2016 at the Hard Court of the Clive Tannis Playing Field in Port Elizabeth.
Hornets defeated Hawks in double overtime 31-30. Tristin Stowe with 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 steals led the scoring for Hornets. The top scorer for Hawks was COR-SINI Pollard with 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 blocks.
Titans beat Rockets 29-11. For Titans, Chadwin Tannis had 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 steals. Eltino Bynoe with 6 points, and 3 steals was the leading scorer for Rockets.
Dragons won from Young Wizards 17-12. Thanks to Elton Wilson’s 9 points, 10 rebounds, and 1 assist. Jerry Joseph scored 6 points for Young Wizards.
The Championship will continue today at the same venue.
