Zefal Bailey in a time of 3 hours, 4 minutes, 07 seconds, won Sunday’s 60-mile Elite Category St. Vincent and the Grenadines Cycling Union’s two Road Race Event from Kingstown to Colonarie, back to the Arnos Vale Round-about, two circuits between the Round-about and Diamond finishing at Calliaqua.
Randy Wilkinson to his third consecutive first place finish in the masters division as the programme continued Sunday.
Wilkinson clocked 2 hours 32 mins 64 seconds in Sunday 46 miles race. Peter Durrant was Second in 2 hours 50 minutes .00 seconds. Orel George, the other competitor in the masters did not finish due to a mechanical problem.
Sunday’s event started outside First Caribbean bank in Kingstown and ended in-front Howards Marine in Calliaqua after the riders would have raced to Colonarie, returning to the Arnos Vale Roundabout, and complete a circuit between the round-About and Diamond Woods.
In the Elite class, they complete two circuits after returning from Colonarie to complete 56 miles. Zefal Bailey took first place (3 hrs. 04 minutes 07.09 seconds. Enroy Lewis was second in (3 hrs.04 minutes and 24 seconds. Lucky Antrobus finished third in 3 hours 42 minutes 22 seconds.
