The Solid Waste Management Unit in the Central Water and Sewerage Authority (CWSA) has commended members of the Public for complying with measures which it implemented for proper waste disposal during the just concluded Vincy Mas celebrations.
The commendation came from Collections Superintendent, Greg Francois, during the CWSA’s Water and Waste matters program aired on NBC Radio.
Mr. Francois said they collected a total of sixty-two garbage skips with garbage during the Carnival season and it was evident that carnival patrons were making an effort to dispose of their garbage properly in the receptacles which were provided.
Mr. Francois said patrons also cooperated with their calls not to dispose of their garbage in the rivers in Kingstown.
He said this was a vast improvement over previous years.
