The local leg of the World Pediatric Project (WPP) received a boost of US$57,917 courtesy the Grenadine Partnership Fund (GPF).

The Governor General received the donation from Mrs. Louis Mitchell- Joseph of the GPF at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital on Tuesday June 21, 2016.
According to the Searchlight, the GG said that the money will be used to purchase a GE Vivid I ultra-hi-performance cardiovascular Ultrasound system for use at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.
The cardiovascular ultrasound system will be used to identify congenital heart disease in children, as well as rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease.
He thanked the GPF members and noted that they have, since their inception, been making donations to worthy causes in SVG.
