Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves has commended the Public Servants of the nation for their contribution to national development.
Dr. Gonsalves gave the commendation, as he delivered remarks at a Church Service, held at the New Testament Church of God this morning, as part of activities leading up to Public Service Day.
“I want to thanks all the public servants past and present for the tremendous work that they have done to assist this nation in the provision of the requisite goods and services to keep us a modern sophisticated society within the contest of our evolving cavitation.”
The Prime Minister also noted that advances in modern technology will continue to result in increased efficiency in the Public Service, but the human element will always play a significant role in service delivery
Meanwhile Director of Planning, Laura Anthony Browne has urged Public Servants to be courageous in carrying out their duties.
Delivering the Sermon at this morning’s Church Service, Mrs. Anthony-Browne encouraged the Public Officers to seek guidance from God on a daily basis and urged Public Servants to maintain their integrity and avoid compromise
Public Service Day will be observed this Thursday June 23rd under the theme: Productivity and Service Excellence in the Public Sector.
