Twenty Nine year old Murder accused Veron Primus of Vermont was yesterday indicted for the 10-year-old murder of a Brooklyn teen, in addition to the murder charge he currently faces here. Law enforcement officials here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, did not receive a formal request for Primus to be extradited to the United States.
However, the New York Times have reported that NYPD authorities in New York are trying to extradite Primus from this country, following last year’s deportation.
Primus, has been the prime suspect in the 2006 murder since 16-year-old Chanel Petro-Nixon’s body was found in a trash bag on Kingston Avenue, in Crown Heights three days after she disappeared.
Local Police said Primus reportedly stabbed real estate agent Sharlene Greaves to death. He was also accused of Kidnapping Mewenah Hadaway of Vermont for three months, before she was rescued.
The NYPD said the potential pattern of violence against women has investigators seeing if they can link Primus to other cold cases.
