The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade, Commerce and Regional Integration has announced that the Government of the Mexico has made changes to its immigration rules which will facilitate increased travel to Mexico.
The Ministry said effective May 18, holders of ordinary and non-ordinary passports who possess valid visas for Canada, the United States of America, Japan, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland or any other country which forms part of the Schengen Zone, do not require a Mexican Visa when travelling to Mexico for tourism purposes.
It also disclosed that commencing July 1, foreign nationals who are holders of documents which accredit them as permanent residents in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, any other country which forms part of the Schengen Zone, the Republic of Colombia, the Republic of Chile and the Republic of Peru do not require a Mexican Visa when travelling to Mexico as a tourist.
