Sergeant Henry Providence attached to the Traffic Department of the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force is reminding Vehicular operators and owners that the law makes it illegal to play amplified sounds produced by a radio, or other mechanical sound making devices from within the vehicle.
Sergeant Providence is also advising that it is illegal to add any additional mechanical sound making devices to a vehicle other that what was originally installed.
He said that Section 31 of the Motor Vehicle and Road Traffic Act states that persons wishing to do so must first seek permission from the commission of police.
