Two Twenty-nine-year-old Vincentians men yesterday were each fined $25,000 forthwith and remanded to Dodds Prison after they appeared before the Barbados District C Magistrates Court on drug charges. They are to reappear on June 15, 2016.
Renrick Roger Richards of Edinboro and Ramon Rupert Horne pleaded guilty to charges of Possession of cocaine; Possession with intent to supply cocaine; Trafficking cocaine; and Importation of cocaine.
On May 31, 2016, both men arrived in Barbados by air from St. Vincent, and their luggages were separately searched by Customs Officers. In each of their luggage, ½ kilo of cocaine was discovered hidden in newspaper. They were referred to the Police for further investigations.
Richards and Horne at the District C Magistrates Court on June 01, 2016, and they pleaded guilty when their cases were heard. They were each fined $25,000 forthwith and remanded.
