Director of the National Emergency Management Organization Howie Prince has highlighted the critical role played by the Red Cross society in disaster response.
Red Cross holds a seat on the emergency supply subcommittee. The subcommittee is responsible for ensuring that emergency supplies are procured, managed, stored, distributed and accounted for when in response mode following the impact of a disaster, Mr. Prince said.
Mr. Prince was addressing participants at the opening of a Hurricane Readiness Workshop this morning at the Red Cross Headquarters.
