Five new cases of the Zika virus have been confirmed on the Grenadine Island of Bequia, bringing the total number of Laboratory confirmed cases in St. Vincent and the Grenadines to eight.
The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment says it has increased its surveillance and response activities to address this rising number of cases.
The Ministry also urges the public to continue to take the necessary steps to protect themselves.
