Steady progress is being made in relation to the demolition of buildings in Kingstown which were severely damaged by fires which occurred last year and this year.
The contractors R&R Construction have so far demolished 75-percent of the buildings which formerly housed the Electoral Office, the Ministry of Social.
Development and the Treasury Department, Project Manager, Senior Technical Officer in the Ministry of Transport and Works Alister Browne said.
He further stated that the building which formerly housed the Government Printery is currently being used by the Blondie Bird and Friends Mas Camp, and the contractors will proceed to demolish this building after the mas tent vacates the area, at the end of the Carnival Season.
The entire process is expected to be completed by the end of July or early August, Browne noted.
