St. Vincent and the Grenadines were among countries around the world that engaged in World Telecommunications and Information Society Day.
To highlight the Day, the Ministry of Economic Planning and Sustainable Development held an exhibition at heritage square yesterday.
The exhibition focused on Information Communication Technologies (ICT) entrepreneurs and start-ups, and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) which have a relevant role in ensuring economic growth in a sustainable and inclusive manner.
The event held helped to raise awareness of the possibilities that the use of the Internet and other forms of ICT can bring to societies and economies, as well as ways to bridge the digital divide.
