St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) and the State of Qatar have signed an Air Services Agreement in an effort to boost connectivity and tourism between both countries.
The agreement is important to St. Vincent and the Grenadines, as SVG prepares for the opening of the Argyle International Airport, according to SVG Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, who signed the agreement with Qatar’s Head of Agreements and International Relations in the Department of Air Transport and Airport Affairs Civil Aviation Authority Mr. Mohamed Faleh Alhajri.
The ceremony took place at Cabinet Room this morning.
According to Mr. Mohamed Faleh Alhajri, the agreement allows for designated airlines to operate any number of frequencies between SVG and Qatar without any restrictions.
A few weeks ago SVG signed a similar agreement with Chile, and in the near future will sign one with the United Arab Emirates.
