The St Vincent and the Grenadines Coast Guard outplayed the Ministry of National Mobilisation yesterday afternoon, beating them 6-1 in the Public Service 5-A-Side, Small Goal Football Championship at the Grammar School Playing Field.
Enos Hamlet and Josh Hamilton each scored twice for the St Vincent and the Grenadines Coast Guard, with a goal each by Danroy Cornell and Chris Melville. The goal for the Ministry of National Mobilisation was converted by Anton Ceaser.
A quickly taken free kick by Treasury caught the Inland Revenue napping, and enabled Max Horne to find the back of the net, but Kalique Hunte scored the equaliser for Inland Revenue as the match was drawn 1-1.
The Ministry of Housing defeated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs 2-0 after goals from Randy Pierre and Justin Smith.
This afternoon, in the last preliminary matches, the Ministry of National Mobilization will meet the Ministry of Economic Planning, and Customs will oppose Inland Revenue.
The quarter-finals will begin tomorrow.
