The Ministry of National Security won two matches yesterday afternoon in the Public Service 5-A-Side, Small Goal Football Championship at the Grammar School Playing Field.
In their first match, Jeremy Deane scored two goals as they defeated the Ministry of Health and the Environment 2-1, with Chavel Trimmingham netting for the Ministry of Health and the Environment.
Deane was again the outstanding player in National Security’s second match of the afternoon when he scored the 3 goals in their 3-0 defeat of the Ministry of National Mobilization.
Deane has now scored five goals and is tied with Juma Jilkes of the Ministry of Tourism as the highest goal scorer in the Championship.
Also yesterday afternoon, National Properties beat the National Insurance Services 3-0 after two goals by Kendal Morgan and one from Zeddie Millington.
Customs won by default from the Ministry of Agriculture.
Next Tuesday, the Ministry of National Mobilization will meet St Vincent and the Grenadines Coast Guard, the Ministry of Economic Planning will oppose the Ministry of Health and the Environment, the Ministry of Housing will play against the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Inland Revenue will meet the Treasury.
