The Finals of the 2016 Caribbean Premier League (CPL) Twenty/20 Championship will be held in Guyana.
According to reliable reports, the government of Guyana outbid the governments of Trinidad and Tobago and Barbados in a three-way bid to host the final on August 7. Guyana will also host both semi-finals which will take place at Providence Stadium.
Details of the agreement between the parties have not yet been made public, but the CPL had asked for US$4.5M for the award of the final-four.
It will be the first time that the finals will be hosted in Guyana. Two previous finals took place in Trinidad and Tobago and the other in St Kitts.
