Cabinet Secretary Katthian Barnwell, has commended members of the second cohort of participants in the Support for Education or SET Programme for their performance at work places to which they were assigned.
Miss Barnwell gave the commendation, during the Awards Ceremony held at the Methodist Church Hall on Friday.
She said the successful tenure of the participants has enhanced the reputation of the programme.
Miss Barnwell said, apart from the on-the-job experience, the participants also received training, and were encouraged to seek out opportunities to upgrade their qualifications.
One hundred and fifty-two persons participated in the second phase of the one-year programme which ended on March 31st. The third cohort will begin their one-year attachment at the beginning of May.
The SET programme is financed with funding from PetroCaribe.
