The Children’s Welfare Fund has made monetary donations to 22 preschoolers from eleven districts across St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Preschool Teachers, Parents and Children were present at the disbursement ceremony which was held at Government House on Friday. The amount disbursed at the ceremony was 13-thousand, two hundred dollars.
Speaking on behalf of the Chairman of the Children’s Welfare Fund, Governor General, Sir Frederick Ballantyne, Lady Gloria Antrobus said the funds would assist parents who have difficulties in meeting the monthly expenses for their children’s preschool education.
Meanwhile … Senior Education Officer with responsibility for Early Childhood education, Mrs. Gwenette Cambridge, said she is pleased to be a part of the Children’s Welfare Fund initiative.
She said the funds are an investment in building the right foundation for the children.
