The local Coast Guard has confirmed reports of a drowning of a teenage student last Saturday.
According to reports, fifteen year old Akeili Latham, a student of the St. Vincent Grammar School drowned at Lower Bay in Bequia. The teen was a resident of North Union.
And, while the circumstances surrounding Latham’s death are still unknown, NBC News understands that the student was part of a school trip on Bequia when he met his death.
