The Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines is confident that it can achieve its target of zero hunger by the year 2020.
Minister responsible for Economic Planning Camillo Gonsalves expressed optimism that this target could be achieved, during his remarks at the official launch of the Zero Hunger Trust Fund on Wednesday.
Minister Gonsalves said the Government has already done a tremendous amount of work, to lay the foundation for the Zero Hunger Initiative.
He however pointed out that a massive nation-wide training programme may be necessary to achieve the goal of eradicating hunger and undernourishment in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
