The Geothermal Energy Development Loan Authorization Bill, was one of three passed in Parliament this morning.
The Bill was presented by Prime Minister and Minister responsible for Energy, Dr. Ralph Gonsalves.
It is intended authorize the Government to secure a loan to assist in financing the development of Geothermal Energy in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and to provide for related matters.
In presenting the Bill, the Prime Minister explained that a lot of work has already been done, in relation to moving forward with the Geothermal project, and work is ongoing.
Two other Bills were also passed at today’s meeting of Parliament: the Governor General’s Emoluments and Pension Amendment Bill and the Hugh Thomas Pension Declaration Bill.
Members of the Parliamentary Opposition were again absent from today’s meeting.
Parliament has been adjourned until Thursday May 12th at ten in the morning
