A number of local teachers are expected to converge at the Frenches House in capital city Kingstown today, for the 19th biennial convention of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Teachers’ Union.
The Convention, which is scheduled to begin at 9AM, will be held under the theme ‘Commitment and Loyalty to your Trade Union: The Gateway to a Brighter Future.
The keynote address at the opening session will be delivered by, Dr. Tennyson Joseph- Head of the Department of Government, Sociology, and Social Work at the UWI Cave Hill Campus.
Other major highlights include the public recognition of four Union stalwarts: Marissa Creese, Cleopatra Jackson, Elton David and Cetroy Wilkes.
