Singer, Bryan Adams, who is also a Vincentian citizen, has established a fund for preserving the Grenadines.
Mr. Adams said that his aimed is to keep the natural beauty of St. Vincent and the Grenadines for generations to come.
Mr. Adams, who has lived in Mustique in 2002 and served as a member of the Environmental Committee in Mustique for the last 6 years said he wants to make more than a contribution to the country that he has fallen in love with.
Meanwhile, Louise Mitchell, Coordinator of the Preservation Fund said that the fund is part of a world network of preservation funds, with two others established in Ibiza and The Aeolian Islands.
Mitchell added that preserving the local sea turtles is of highest importance to the fund, and stated that the fund has approved a project for conserving sea turtle livelihood, but noted that Vincentians have little regard for the off-season of hunting turtles.
